If you are going to buy a Honda, I would just go with a new one. I remember looking for a used Honda for my son several years ago and the used prices were so high, I said screw it and started looking at new ones. I ended up buying him a Ford Truck but I still think the resale values are excessively high for Hondas. Also, it seemed like it was very hard to find a used Honda like he wanted that had what I considered a reasonable number of miles on the odometer (less that 90K). Almost all that I could find had 90-120K making me suspect that these owners were selling because of some impending maintenance issue that they didn't want to pay for, like a timing belt for instance.
Anyway, if you can get a good deal on a new one, that would be my choice. NO maintenance issues (warranty), no history issues and no problems with consumables such as tires, batteries, etc. Just my two cents.
