  1. Thanks DH I had the 15 bean soup. I just tossed the bag with the spice packet in the crockpot. Next time I will add rotel tomatoes after a few hours to liven up the just beans, water, and salt taste. All in all though not terrible.
  2. My Lupus is kinda lumped in with MCTD (multiple connective tissue disease) so I won the auto immune lottery. Systemic lupus, scleroderma, and polymyositis. It is treated much the same as plain jane lupus so I often refer to it as such since it makes it easier than just explaining the whole thing out. Rest assured I don't physically suffer from all three. They overlap occasionally but my primary symptoms are of the lupus variety right now. Meaning occasionally swollen joints, phantom muscle pains, heavy susceptibility to raynaud's, and hangovers from sun exposure without protective clothing or sunscreen.
  3. The concept of healthier eating based on food designed to keep my inflammatory body responses is based on the diet by Dr. Weil http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/ART02012/anti-inflammatory-diet My RA doctor highly recommended it.
  4. Maybe not a diet as much but a new approach to eating. Since I have to switch off my lupus meds they want me to go full anti inflammatory in the diet instead. Means one serving of meat a week, 1-2 servings of dairy a week, lots of fruits and veggies, beans, whole/cracked grains, and a few more hippy rabbit stuff. I eat quite a bit of fruit and veggies but red meat has always been a big staple in my diet. Gonna see how it plays out. Today is no breakfast as I fasted from my overly gorging brunch yesterday as I have blood work at nine this morning. Lunch I have fruit: red plum, cantaloupe, peach, blueberries, and cherries. Veggies: sugar snap peas, edamame, green pepper, tomato, and cucumber. Protein: 15 bean soup I crock potted last night. I also bought a pound of raw walnuts as my snack material. WoG was wanting to go full switch as she eats very lttle meat to begin with but as this is my first week, day, then I want to see how it plays out with myself before I buy a lot of new groceries. As a side note yesterday I weighed 174 after my gorging. This morning I was 168.5 Heres hoping the weight loss is a trend as well as I could use to lose another 20 too. Who here keeps a mostly meatless diet? How do you prepare your lunches & dinners? How was the switch?
  5. This was from entertainment weekly. I walked out of the first movie about an hour into it. I watched most of the second and a bit of the third. I can't imagine watching another Michael Bay movie again and expecting anything.
  6. Sorry for your luck. We really didn't know where you had gone off to. How are you now?
  7. I need to do that as well. Will settle for mowing lawn in between study sections.
  8. Had MCTD (multiple connective tissue disease) for years and always been on Plaquenil. But recently the found that I am now showing signs the toxicity level in my eyes is building from the toxin that is my medication and have already lost a small amount of peripheral sight from it. Continued use would see tunnel vision and color perception loss. Not good. So stopped the medications and now with guidance am attempting a more natural form of immune suppressant therapies to keep my body in check. Gonna be better in the long run I always hated when I had a flair up and had to switch to the harsh stuff for a few days (methotrexate)
  9. Interior as I get is out my back yard. Where I live I am ten minutes from where both of these photos where taken. Personally I love both areas for their separate reasons. What I think they mean by interior florida you can find in places like Mango, Seffner, or even Ruskin. Pretty low rent and ghetto areas
  10. Tomorrow starts my new Anti Inflammatory diet restrictions since Lupus sucks. So today WoG and I went to a place called Salt Rock Tavern for their brunch. It is ridiculous. A nice mix of traditional breakfast to awesome lunch/seafood dishes. I ate my entire caloric intake in one sitting: 2 eggs scrambled 3 pieces of bacon 2 biscuits and gravy house salad (bacon, blue cheese, corn...) arugula and grapefruit salad Egg and benedict fruit plate croissant with duck pate smoked salmon and cream cheese 6 raw oysters heap of shrimp grouper cheeks in cajun sauce paella stir fry beef corn and lentil chowder cheese blintz peanut and chocolate cream pudding cookies and a sundae for sunday. Now I have diabetus and a coma.
  11. What do you expect from a minute video?
  12. Glad your happy with the new saddle. I must be one of the few that likes their stock saddle. I did the take for a week trial from my LBS of three differnt saddles after he measured my sit bones. None I liked. Was happy to get my stock saddle back on.
  13. I love the AquaRacer series. It helps when your in the biz for stuff like this. It is an older series (12 years old) so not like their current retail prices. But still more than I would pay for a timepiece. BTW I only have about as much as you have in your Tag in this watch.
  14. The gluten diet is a sham. Unless your actually allergic to gluten. Then suck it up buttercup!
  15. Untrue! In someways yes, but in most every other way their is vast improvements from outside Detroit. Also the coastal towns from Palm Harbor to Dunedin, Indian Rocks, etc are all awesome. I drive ten minutes and its like I am on vacation. I love that.
  16. Dang my first thought was a fixie project bike for me.
  17. Heathen. It is an It is one of their first ones featuring a turbillion balance wheel that doesn't cost as much as a Porsche.
  18. A few regional selections. If you zoom out and consider continents then, yes.
  19. Ouch. Guess the media renovations might take a back seat.
  20. Been going back and forth with the CEO of my little company since the commercial shoot. Been trying to get him to come off his Lange & Sohne Glashutte. A bet won and a way off kilter swap of a ring I made awhile back got me this lovely new addition to the watch box:
  21. Every things bigger in Texas?
  22. I just perused the discussion. I can see why the original thought of chili had no beans but thats saying you also have to only eat "true" pizza if it is only yeasted dough and tomato paste. Only. Because thats how they made in in 1830. If we did that then where would all the wonderful food be? I personally like a white chicken chili with beans and serrano peppers.
  23. First image in google for chili. I missed/ignored the discussion of chili. But thought you'd like to know what the internet thinks of chili.
  24. Mitch Hedberg. His delivery was flawless. The persona he had was well cultivated. Tragedy that he passed away so young. http://youtu.be/u6tVLvBsBWw
