The turkey factory farming industry is out of control. We created the Thanksgiving = Turkey scenario when it didn't have to be like that. The focus should be on building connections to recognize what we are thankful for and giving thanks for those things. You can do that with lasagne, enchiladas, pancit, sushi, jambalaya, and any cultural dish that you use to celebrate you. As an Irish-Scot-American hybrid I could celebrate with haggis, corned beef and cabbage, or chili dogs. Its not aboot the menu, its aboot spending time with those you love.
