I’m the youngest of four. One brother and one sister. My other sis passed in 2023. -
They are high in sugar, which many people don’t realize. I think we still have a couple bunches in the root cellar. Need to use them up soon.

Didn’t go quite as planned. We left the parking area at 9:30 sunny and 20 degrees, perfect. After 4 miles we hit the intersection with a popular ski trail. Visited with a few skiers while we grabbed a snack. From there the steep climb began. We hadn’t gone a quarter mile and we met a group of two couples descending. One of the women had injured her knee and couldn’t walk at all on it. We helped get her back to the junction and then the 2 miles to the parking area they had started from. Two of use carried her the whole way. Arrived at their car around 4 pm they dropped one guy where they were staying and he came back and gave us a ride to our vehicles 6 miles away. We then went for burgers n beers😁

Our electric runs $80-100/ month and propane is less than $250/ year for a 1400 sq ft house. Pretty cheap😁

Hiking near Saranac Lake tomorrow. Too bad @Allen wasn’t still in town.

Washington county is nice. I lived just across the borrer in VT. for a while. Tour of the Battenkill is held there but you best like climbing.

Rain has put an end to any skiing this weekend😩 we do have a cycling club meeting Saturday. Spring can’t be too far away. need to finish up a few things in the sugarhouse to get ready for the season.

Westport is very nice. Located on Lake Champlain but close to mts. Whallonsburg, just northwest of Westport is also nice. Rural with great views.

First time out this year. Enough moonlight no headlamp needed. Did about 1.5 mile loop through the sugarbush. Heard a few coyotes over on the neighbors.

Our new bikes came tubeless and I’m going back to tubes. Between us we have flatted more with tubeless than without. New Gatorskins and Nano tubes all around.

Maybe a trip to Charleston SC in the spring to visit friends. headed to Idaho this summer to do a raft trip on the Salmon River. Will then spend 4 days near Sandpoint ID hiking and cycling. One night in Gardiner MT. Then a drive across the Beartooth highway on our way to Custer SD. 3 days of riding and hiking in the Black Hills. The day we head for home we will do a ride in the Badlands NP. We did that a few years ago, very cool place to ride.

Our grandkiddos are over about once a month or so. We had a new granddaughter born 1/1/24. Miss Violet😁

If you need to do more looking and are open to areas outside SL let me know. I can show you some very nice areas not far from SL.

As of this morning at 7 am they reported 40 inches had fallen in the past 12 hours. I cleaned out at 5 am and again at 9. At 9 we had another 9-10 inches. The heaviest snow is north of home now but it’s been snowing there all day. At least I know what I’ll be doing tonight.
