  1. Nothing wrong with the headline if one is able to interpret it with an open mind. Scream like a banshee to me would be creating a high pitch whine. Yes, I've heard electric cars make high pitch Screaming sounds. Heck, I've heard small remote control cars with electric motors make high pitch noises like a Screaming banshee.
  2. Sadly it seems car shows are always in blazing heat. I like taking pics of cars so I'm always expecting it to be hot. Sadly though, I'm sure it's a space thing where shows are held, it's hard to get a pic of one specific car. They always seem to be crammed in together so that it's impossible to get the full view and beauty of one car.
  3. Thanks to @Square Wheels setting up a few members for criticism and insult, I can see your post is much shorter.
  4. Not really. I see about 50 percent that look pretty grumpy. Thing I don't understand is that many say the bike trail is boring. I enjoy it, trail, roads, riding up into the local mountains. I guess I just enjoy riding my bike more because it doesn't matter where I ride. I just enjoy riding my bike. And I always nod or wave to passing cyclists whether on the trail, road or dirt. If I encounter 100 riders, you can bet I've waved 100 times. I'm just happy to be on my bike.
  5. Hope they work for you. I bought some Merrill hiking boots at Sport Chalet about 5 years ago. $125 and they fell apart within 6 months. I had only worn them to dinner and walking the mall. I can imagine what would have happened had I actually used them for hiking on a trail. I wore hiking boots for years for work that lasted much much longer. More inexpensive models from $40 to $60. I thought the Merrill looked cool so I bought them but they really sucked. 😄
  6. Yeah, this is still a new song even though it's from 1996.
  7. Fonzie referred to Mr. Cunningham as Mr. C. I don't think it had anything to do with Mr. Cunningham being a homo. 🙄
  8. I love the smell of a nice candle. Got like 3 of these floating around. 😄
  9. Every one around me thinks I have a cast iron stomach because I rarely have stomach issues. No upset stomach, heartburn, etc. I think it's because I don't eat the sheot they eat. If I go eat with my BIL, he'll end up with heartburn. Then say I'm lucky I don't have problems. Yeah, he ate a chili burger with chili fries. 😄
  10. Really long. I'm a super slow eater. A double scoop at B&R might take me 45 minutes to eat. The ice cream melts before I can eat it.
  11. I do turn in paper work so I get to stroll through the AC when I can.
  12. Dude has a different style. Skatepark as well. Different type of song but I like it.
  13. I just love this song and I don't know why. 😃
  14. I know what's causing the problem. I'll send an email to you explaining how to fix it. 😄
  15. So many good things, even at work. It's policy for our company that if there are employees working outdoor in 90+ Temps, management must hold a meeting as a reminder to hydrate, an all the heat exhaustion stuff. The guys who wuss out and have wuss ou doing my task roll their eyes as if to say Yeah Yeah like whatever! Hey, it's important enough that management has everyone sign a form noting they were reminded. Same cry baby guys that have to go in inside at 10 am because they get dizzy in the heat. 😪 So at the end of the meeting, Rosie asks if anyone has any questions. I asked if they planned to buy anymore electrolyte packets as we were running low. Yes sir! Other guys look at me like I'm a nut because I want the electrolytes. So Rosie says yes they're getting more. Then later in the afternoon, the supervisor says, I GOT SOMETHING FOR YOU. I asked what French fries? He was on his lunch break. 😄 He steps into the next room then returns with a box with electrolyte packets box of 50. He says this is just for you, the whole box just for you so keep it in your locker so the others don't get them. Then he put a box out for them to share. Heck, the last box, I think I used most of them. That's cool, they respect the fact I try to stay hydrated. The other clowns don't think nothing of it. I learned about hydrating through cycling. Maybe those clowns need to take up cycling. Maybe they'd be ok when the thermometer hits 85. For, not one day have I had to ho inside because of the heat. Been 105 max out there 8 hours no issues. 😉 But today was just awesome all around.
  16. Same here. I bought Gina a dozen roses 33 years ago. She got upset saying I wasted too much money. But she gladly accepts lottery tickets. 😆😁😆 Actually, she doesn't mind and enjoys little things. Few years ago, I bought a little ceramic rabbit ash tray type thing, or vase, I don't know the difference. Couple bucks. Then I put som See's suckered in there with a little grass filler and shiny ribbon. Spent very little. She loved it. So did her sister who came from Missouri to visit a week later. She loved it her hubby didn't. He gave me an earful for that one. 😁😁😁
  17. And I mean LITTLE THINGS. 😄 Gina's Mom has this little bench. About 18 inches high, miniature little park bench. Metal all rusted, wood dried out. I felt sorry for the dried out little thing that sits out in her front yard. So I asked how she felt about me perking it up a bit. She said her son, my BIL promised to do it for her about 5 years ago. I didn't want to interfere with his deed but she says if she waits any longer for him, it'll be another 5 years 🤣 So I took it to work asking my boss if she wouldn't mind. She said go ahead. Then Gina took her Mom to Home Depot for some stain. She picked an antique type color, stain and sealer. $5, not bad. I disassembled it painted, stained, then put it back together. Wow, MIL was so happy. She loves it! She's so funny. I put it back where it was in her front yard. She said NO NO NO! It's so nice somebody might steal it. 😆😄😆 But this woman has been so good to me even better than my own mother. So it was nice to put a smile on her face. 😊
  18. Posted it about a month ago. I love the Neil only version. The song always makes me feel sad for people in a stale relationship with their wife, girlfriend, whatever. This song always reminds me to do something to keep Gina's heart. ❤️ No matter how small or dumb as it may seem. Remind her that she's my sweetheart even after 35 years. So after work, I'm meeting Gina at our favorite little Mexican hole in the wall joint. On her way nd I work right around the corner so it's convenient. The song comes on and of course my mind wanders to my sweetheart. I stopped at the store picking up a $5 scratcher for her. She loves to play one ticket every lottery day. She sure gets a kick out of playing though it seems silly. But she gets tickled thinking about winning. So she'll get a big kick out of it when she gets here! 😄
  19. My start time is 8:00 am. This morning they told us we're having an inspection on Thursday so we're going in at 6:00 am tomorrow to clean all day. 🤣 But cool because they let me go at 3:50 telling me not to clock out, they'll take care of it. 🙃 But up at 4:30 tomorrow. 🤣😂🤣
  20. I this was going to be a manscaping thread.😄
  21. Some people are unbelievable. I refuse to be that way. My brother took us to lunch for his son's college graduation. He took a group of about 20 of us to Lucille's BBQ place, not cheap. Gina and I went for the lunch specials, $12. And I'm a good eater. His sister in law, his mother in law, and another elderly lady, all 3 can barely eat a bologna sandwich, all order a rib plate for$35 each. WTH! All 3 took a bite or two then wrapped it up to take home. I can't do that stuff. I try to be kind to the person treating me.
  22. The blue. I had to back it up 2 minutes when I put it on this afternoon. 😆😄😆
