  1. ...like this guy. I think my noggin is too tender? My nads to sensitive?
  2. ...and it had to happen while I was still riding!
  3. Is Squamish with a cool jump trail. Perfect for DH and her hubby!
  4. So Ryan drove my truck liked it. I owe him a birthday present since he was going to get a felt hat, but he decided he wanted a new car instead.
  5. Airehead

    Total Brag

Total Brag but I am so happy. Little Paulie has really struggled with stress in competition. He excels in class and in our barn, but has been shutting down for months in stressful situations. Yesterday, he had a very good run but I did not think he had qualified. Large error on my part. I should have checked the scorebook. He Q’ed'!!!!! He also got second place. Lesson learned. Agility is a team sport. Trust your partner. I am so proud of my young boy. PS. LINDY was 3 for 4 with three first places finishes.
  6. One of the best winter comic strips!
  7. I wonder if someone will waltz right in here and solve it in 2 or 3? Tok me forever. (I could only get the far side cartoon to paste at 1mb so that was too much )
  8. But we do not suck at riding around on bicycles. Omniums The ultimate award at Collegiate Track National Championships is the Omnium awards. The omnium is the best all-around performance for individuals and teams, Varsity and Club. With wins in the Individual Pursuit, Time Trial, and a silver in Points Race, Marian University's Stevenson claimed the Women's Omnium title. Similarly, with his win in Individual Pursuit, second in the Time Trial, and fourth in the Sprints, Colorado Mesa's Anderson won the Men's Omnium. In the battle for the team omniums, Colorado Mesa and Marian duked it out in the Varsity category, with Colorado Mesa narrowly taking the win. Texas A&M University took an early lead in the Club category over Colorado State University and maintained the lead throughout.
  9. Those are really neat. They keep things clean instead of using more wire for a chain of contact points. Clean.
  10. ...but nope. Not even gonna pretend I would enjoy it nor that I could gut it out. INSANE.
  11. ...that there was anything special about this bike:
  12. It’s going to be a few months before he can ride it but I found this strider bike on CL for $20. CJ seemed to like to push it around.
  13. ...both time in the same outfit. I am not sure if next time I tell him that the lycra is transparent? It's an eyeful and really not fair to folks approaching from behind. I don't know what the proper protocol is for this - ignore (and hope he has a SO or friend to tell him) or alert (and save him continued embarrassment)?

  15. He seems at least decent as an announcer, and is aware when someone needs explaining. CVV is fine, if not too subdued. I miss the old Bob Roll promo pieces from 15-20 years ago, that was my favorite Bob.
  16. From his latest Strava post: I was asked to do some stunt double work for a descent scene in a new movie coming soon called "Hard Miles" starring Matthew Modine. It took place in the beautiful Eastern Sierras in California (the site of my upcoming gravel event www.whiskeytangofondo.com). After the shoot of course I had to take a crack at Whitney Portal Road, and the producers were kind enough to film and edit it for me.
  17. ...unless you're @dinneR where you CAN do this at home (or near home):
  18. Why hasn't @Prophet Zacharia or @12string brought this insanity to the Cafe's attention?!?!?
  19. Netflix Will Follow the 2022 Tour de France in a New Documentary Series In a bid to beef up its sports programming, Netflix is teaming up with Tour de France organizers A.S.O. to create a documentary series on the 2022 cycling competition, with the participation of public broadcaster France Télévisions. The eight-episode series will follow the journey of eight teams taking part in the iconic cycling race, starting from the preparation phase straight through to the finish line. It will weave in multiple perspectives, from cyclists to team managers. The race, which is traditionally broadcast in 190 territories, will see eight iconic teams competing, including AG2R Citroën Team, Alpecin-Fenix, BORA-hansgrohe, EF Education-EasyPost, Groupama-FDJ cycling Team, Ineos Grenadiers, Team Jumbo-Visma and Team Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl. Quadbox, a joint venture between QUAD and Box to Box Films (“Drive to Survive”), is producing the series. Filming will take place from March to July 2022 for a release on Netflix in the first quarter of 2023. France Télévisions will broadcast a 52-minute documentary a few days before the start of the 2023 Tour de France. “We are very proud to unveil new aspects of the emblematic Tour de France. This is a unique opportunity to dive into the stories of its inspiring characters!” said Dolores Emile, manager for EMEA unscripted and doc series for France at Netflix. Yann Le Moënner, director general of A.S.O., said the partnership “will offer fans a unique immersion behind the scenes” and will make the “sport more accessible and meet an even wider audience.” “Through a narrative approach, which is additive to the competition itself, the public will be able to discover how the Tour de France represents the ultimate challenge for the competitors; in particular, in terms of suffering, pushing their limits and team spirit,” said Le Moënner. Laurent-Eric Le Lay, sports director at France Télévisions, said that “as the historic partner and broadcaster of the Tour de France, we are delighted to participate in this project which will allow everyone to experience part of the daily life of champions and teams.”
  20. I could hang oot w/ these hard core bike chicks @Dirtyhip's like "I can do that"
  21. ...since this bad boy only costs $470 new!
  22. ...but I bet my power numbers crush this guy's for his ride!
