I don’t need anything but this is a very hard time. My wife is in constant pain. I give her morphine and she sleeps until it wears off. She has a big burn on her back from the heating pad. I didn’t know she could get burned that bad and not feel it. When I roll her on her side to treat the burn she is in severe pain in her abdomen This is hard..

So sorry John. Seeing one you love in pain is one of the hardest things ever.

Esther was shivering this morning at 6:30 and in pain. It was 81° in the house. I gave her a fourth blanket, her antibiotic, some morphine and refilled her ice water, then I went down and stoked the furnace. I put her on the bedpan and changed her bandage on her back while I had her rolled over. She was moaning in pain the whole time. It’s 83° now and she has been sleeping ever since the drugs kicked in. She hasn’t had breakfast or lunch yet. I’m hanging out near her bed in a pair of gym shorts and posting here and on FB. More drugs are on their way but they haven’t delivered them yet.

Tough place to be right now -- for both of you.  All we can do is hope and pray.

 John, I'm so sorry you both are going through this. I can't imagine. I wish you both strength and I hope your wife improves quickly.
