Popular Post Dirtyhip Posted May 15, 2020 Popular Post Share #1 Posted May 15, 2020 People I know were going to take these to the landfill because they were discolored and ugly. We went and took all of them off their hands. My husband is building a patio and planters for me. He is wonderful and amazing. work in progress behind the stack he is moving the red stones putting down weed block and reinstalling the red stones somewhere else. There is another giant stack on the other side of the yard. these people are also tossing some used trex boards and we plan on grabbing those too. So much waste in this world. 7
Razors Edge ★ Posted May 15, 2020 Share #2 Posted May 15, 2020 Awesome! It is actually insane to think about how much money and energy and space could be saved if we could greatly improve our connections between those who have (but no longer want) and those who want (but can't easily have) something. Sure, ebay or Craigslist or the like have helped, but it is still easier to just trash stuff rather than find a willing new owner.

Now she says she has some rectangle bricks too. I told her, "I want your trash." HAHA
ChrisL Posted May 15, 2020 Share #4 Posted May 15, 2020 We are in the process of cleaning out my daughters room and we had a bunch of old clothes & shoes that she no longer wanted. It took considerable effort to find an organization to take the stuff as Goodwill & other donation centers are closed.
donkpow Posted May 15, 2020 Share #5 Posted May 15, 2020 Many of the ancient structures currently considered significant were dismantled over time for the building materials.

He left the damned hose on it, and it froze inside the machine. It never worked again. This is why we no longer loan and help people with this sort of thing. You pretty much have to accept that you either gave it away, or will never see it again.
Dirtyhip Posted May 15, 2020 Author Share #12 Posted May 15, 2020 He never replace it either. Even after we saw the hose left on and told him he broke it. He deflected. People suck, and I don't like my elder self. I was way more fun and naive in my twenties. Now, I am guarded and more cynical.

Her response was about the same as yours.
