Popular Post Dirtyhip Posted May 18, 2020 Popular Post Share #1 Posted May 18, 2020 has been blooming for almost 6 months. It was badly root bound when I got it. I re-potted it, even though the reports say don't try to do this. It is now shooing out new tapper roots and new buds. Amazing. 3

Further Posted May 18, 2020 Share #4 Posted May 18, 2020 I’m going to repot an orchid when I get home from work, if the pot and medium arrived. We have never had any success with orchids, so I did some research and am going to try and get it right

Orchids like air on their roots. Oh, and I sing to it. Are you singing to yours?

Yours is beautiful Not much sun at all. It lives in the bay window in our kitchen East side of the home. It is a semi darkish spot for a bay window. Most of the singing happens in the kitchen. My wife calls it the infirmary. I've taken two in from people at work. One was a dead orchid, she worked on it for months, looked like it might make it, then it died. Now I have a bamboo plant from someone that has been at home for months. We have at least a dozen orchids in the house, more outside, my wife has a serious addition. This is just a few of them that still need light, the rest are scattered.

This is where mine live. This is my kitchen view. I bought more vining plants and hope they do well on the fence.
Square Wheels Posted May 23, 2020 Share #16 Posted May 23, 2020 We have a dozen or so small ones hanging in a tree out front. She leaves a lot of them outside while it warmer.
