Your wife sounds like me!  My wife: It’s only 6, not 20... I’ll end up making 4 different things so everyone has something they like.

Even she was shocked. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it!  Amazingly the fridge stuff all fit. But I sure hope our electric doesn’t go oot any time soon!

We have some non perishable food stored around the house like. Squirrel 🐿. 
 

we still buy a ton of produce. I can’t give that up. I am still eating apples , but wash them very well. 
 

I grow my own lettuce now. So that is one non cookable produce item that I don’t have to buy.
