Where should I drive?

My car is just about to turn past 100,000 miles.  Last week I drove up to the Catskills and I thought the odometer would turn on that trip.  That made me feel good because that's always a nostalgic trip for me and I liked the idea of the odometer turning on that trip.  But I ended up 12 miles short. I don't want the odometer to turn while I'm running errands and doing grocery shopping.  That seems so mundane.  Where can I drive for 13 miles?

Ithaca. Stand at the side of John Brown’s grave and ponder.

Somewhere I have a picture of my parents at John Brown's gravesite.  I took them there one afternoon when we were in Lake Placid.

How about seeing how long you can hold off 100K?  Think you can roll the Odo in June?

If she really want to "roll" the odometer (back!), she should head to somewhere like NJ where they are great at that sort of thing.  It will breathe new life into her car if she sets it back to 50,000 again :D

The Hudson.

But I joke.  It's actually quite nice up north.  Drive to the Bear Mt. Bridge.

Not wild sister went hiking in Bear Mt State Park a few weeks ago.  I told her she should feel very smug because later that morning they shut the entrance because they reached capacity.

Ithaca is lovely. No grave pondering.
