Tool Box Doodads

Razors Edge

Question

Cleaning out my bike tool box, and I found these buried in the bottom.  I think my old boss gave them to me over a decade ago, but not sure what any really are useful for relating to any of my current bikes :(  Not even sure what a few of them do (except the obvious chain tool).

the wire thing is for holding brakes closed to make cable installs easier.

The big round thing between the two wrenches is a crank remover for square taper cranks.  The small round thing maybe the adapter for ISIS and Octalink cranks.

Yeah - googling Suntour 8.8.8. got this:

The Maeda Iron Works Company (later called SunTour) was founded in 1912 by Shikanosuke Maeda and their first product, the bicycle freewheel, was amed 8.8.8.   Why "8.8.8?" The number 8 represents success, wealth and prosperity...

BINGO - I think it is and would fit into those slots and let a wrench be used to turn it.

Suntour | there is no "I" in cyclyng

If you had posted the opposite side first, I would have known.  Used similar tools on BMX bikes back in the day.  Could not tell size, etc.

Yeah yeah yeah.

I didn't know which side was important until I knew which side was important.

Well one side was obviously to be turned by a wrench, so the other side had to do something.

Setting it flat in shag carpet did not help either.
