Popular Post sheep_herder ★ Posted June 15, 2020 Popular Post Share #1 Posted June 15, 2020 I was too tired after pushing sheep for shearing and feeding to venture out. She missed some nice light later on, as she was tired of feeding blood to the mosquitoes. 8
Airehead Posted June 15, 2020 Share #2 Posted June 15, 2020 I look forward to your wife's pictures. (And yours, too). Lovely. DO you have a team that comes into help with the haircuts?

DO you have a team that comes into help with the haircuts? Yes, the County Agent and his wife do the shearing and sorting of fleeces. We work to keep the chute full, so he can shear more or less continuously. Shearers do not like long breaks between animals. They like to keep their rhythm. He is an excellent shearer that shears over the region, and spent several weeks last fall training in Australia. I even convinced him with a 'little green' to shear the Angora bucks, which he has not wanted to do in the past. He commented to his wife, that those were the first goats he had shorn, since before they were married. I told him, I would not tell anyone who sheared the goats.

Kirby Posted June 21, 2020 Share #6 Posted June 21, 2020 Just beautiful. It's lovely to look at the pictures, but I can imagine how it feels to be outside surrounded by such impressive sights. Thank you to your and your wife for posting them.
Longjohn ★ Posted June 21, 2020 Share #7 Posted June 21, 2020 I was busy with six grandkids and when they left I heated up a plate of penne pasta and headed down to get on zoom about an hour late. I saw we were having a beautiful sunset but was already late so didn’t take any photos.
