Kirby Posted June 29, 2020 Share #1 Posted June 29, 2020 There are two letters (one a vowel and one a consonant) at least one of which appears in each state name except for 3 states. Can you name the two letters and the three states that don't include either of these letters. Zephyr Posted June 29, 2020 Share #3 Posted June 29, 2020 "A" and "N" with the three states being Ohio, Missiouri and Mississippi? Having guessed that, I am not sure I can even name all 50 states off the top of my head

The two letters are A and N - and New York has an "n". You were right on the three exceptions.

Bikeguy Posted June 29, 2020 Share #8 Posted June 29, 2020 It looks like A and N are correct. But they are in only 36 and 33 states respectively. state letter.xlsx
Ralphie ★ Posted June 29, 2020 Share #9 Posted June 29, 2020 Interesting. I was thinking those two, but was going individually instead of both at once so it wasn’t working.
Bikeguy Posted June 29, 2020 Share #10 Posted June 29, 2020 opps... hey it was 1:00AM, and I was tired. Here are the 3 states. So @Zephyr was indeed correct. 1
Razors Edge ★ Posted June 29, 2020 Share #11 Posted June 29, 2020 I guessed correctly (in my head), but didn't get a chance to verify quickly. I like the spreadsheet approach, though

donkpow Posted June 29, 2020 Share #14 Posted June 29, 2020 Yes. As you can see, I am the only person to respond to the sole question in the OP. I have no idea what the rest of you people are doing but I think you should keep doing it.
