groupw Posted July 6, 2020 Share #2 Posted July 6, 2020 Saw him live a few years ago. If my dad had been more mobile, I would have sworn it was him on stage! Put on a hell of a show! He didn't play "Uneasy Rider".

jsharr ★ Posted July 6, 2020 Share #5 Posted July 6, 2020 When I was in Jr. High and HIgh School, most of us on the football team fancied ourselves to be cowboys. We wore boots and hats and had belts with our name on the back and big silver buckles and we dipped snuff. We had a tradition of singing on the bus ride back to school if we won our football game that night. Charlie Daniels "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" was a regular in our victory concerts. Godspeed Mr. Daniels. 2

Airehead Posted July 6, 2020 Share #8 Posted July 6, 2020 In heaven now I'd never go away We'd just spend everyday Living out the dreams we've been saving Anyone who'd see us Sure would like to be us Just for the memories we're making But I guess that would be heaven And I don't really care Cause while we're dreamin, baby You don't have to wonder, baby Heaven can be anywhere As long as you're there

Kirby Posted July 6, 2020 Share #14 Posted July 6, 2020 The Devil went Down to Georgia is a classic, but I also recall it from Dominique Moceanu using it for her floor exercise at the Atlanta Olympics. The crowd went nuts.
