One has a Trek and the other has a Giant. Both are single speeds and have 16" wheels. They average about 6 mph and stop once or twice for Gatorade and cookies.

My 4 y/o grandson rides a green Kawasaki (on train storage during trip) but thinking about an upgrade already. :o

Also, that back platform on his father's bike turns it into a tandem, lifting the front wheel.

Actually, it's Switzerland. That kid is a mountain man since birth. Unbelievable strength in his legs even at 3 month - planting in my belly and standing up to look around. Now at 4, skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer. Dumped the training wheels and parents have a hard time keeping up. But when he hits the crashing point (after 5 miles or so), he is beat. That is why they borrowed the assist basket for their "stayvacation" trip. Good thing, yesterday biked 5 miles to the train station, but the train was cancelled and had to do an additional 20 to reach their destination. Did have the train back though. A couple photos from yesterday. I am intrigued by the tandem carrier.
