Nah, I haven't talked to anyone on the bike.  Maybe when people are less freaked about the virus it'll happen.

I gotta wonder if most women are overwhelmed by men - married and single - when riding.  It seems like guys outnumber gals 5 or 10 to 1 in the road cycling world, and I can't imagine it's better in NYC. Somehow, bikeman lucked out - either his rugged good looks or suave & debonair disposition helped him find his unicorn.

Yeah, I imagine they are overwhelmed.   Bike clubs might facilitate meeting in a more natural way, but in NYC you generally don't talk to people you don't know.

I pulled up to a woman once on a bike path - crossing light.  Her seat was way too low and she looked like she was panicking trying to unclip.  I was easily twice her age.  I asked if she'd consider some unsolicited advice, she said sure.  I offered some, then went on my way.
