Popular Post sheep_herder ★ Posted July 31, 2020 Popular Post Share #1 Posted July 31, 2020 Stomped on the floor to get his attention, since he cannot see or hear. He retreated to the front door to wait until I left, so I took him out with me to do the chores. I noticed one of the four corn cobs was missing from the plate on the counter. I asked my wife if she had seen the cob, and she responded that he had taken it to his crate for future chewing. He might be old, but he is consistent. 3
Airehead Posted July 31, 2020 Share #2 Posted July 31, 2020 Are you worried with him and a corn cob? My dogs would swallow in big chunks and suffer a blockage.

We may have gone 2Far in domesticating dawgz! They could never survive in the wild! But then I guess we couldn’t either.

Plus, I think Lad is a daintier chewer than your dogs. 1

If other dogs enter the house, he is close at their side, showing his displeasure, even with his poor eyesight.
Johnny Come Lately Name Posted July 31, 2020 Share #7 Posted July 31, 2020 Thanks for reminding me how nice it is to have a dog that doesn't counter surf! He also won't get in the trash. He did help himself to the cat food this morning, but that's because SO tried putting the cat dishes next to his. He hasn't bothered them before, when they were elsewhere, so he can be forgiven for thinking it was for him.

Everyone and everything are daintier chewers than our Airedales. You should see them compared to Ylva. I have to make them sit and wait while she actually chews her waffles. 2

Well, I am certainly not going to take my food remains back from Lad, so who else is there? Edible food is not left for his selection, although he has been known to steal a muffin or toast, if my wife turns her head at the wrong time.
