Popular Post maddmaxx ★ Posted July 31, 2020 Popular Post Share #1 Posted July 31, 2020 Tomorrow I go Drag Racing about an hours drive from here. I'm as ready as my mediocre talents have prepared me for. I now have a mildly competitive car but not a winning car. I have to admit that I'm scared to go as most of the pics of last weeks race showed less than 50% wearing masks and an hour drive each way without open restaurants such as McDonalds to stop at make an old man's bladder suspect. Yes, I'm taking an emergency container. The Murder Nova is ready to go although I feel that the original Corvette Pro Mod body was faster. I need to go race with other people however to see if I'm doing the right things or if I'm completely out of my league. 4

It was crashed due to stoopid driver error in the last test session on Wednesday. The body has a few scratches across the front now which makes it the expendable race body now. Fortunately it was not crashed at speed but by the typical geezer action of throttle vs brake while turning it around at the high end to come back down the return lane. Hey, I should be driving a BMW. Weren't they the cars famous for punching out the back wall of the garage..........or was it Audi? Sudden Acceleration Syndrome. maddmaxx ★ Posted August 1, 2020 Author Share #9 Posted August 1, 2020 0 The car is half loaded. The driver is looking around for high energy breakfast stuff. The batteries are charged and stored safely in the explosion proof container. Waze is up and running on the phone. I'm going down the check list as I know there will be something to forget. All guilty of perhaps having a poor choice of pedal size and placement making it easier for drivers to mistake one for the other. There seem to be a rash of drivers punching into store fronts these days no matter what sort of car they are driving. Is it because our population is ageing? It's a fact that age correlates to unintended acceleration accidents. However it's not entirely age related as there are some young dumbasses as well. Square Wheels Posted August 1, 2020 Share #17 Posted August 1, 2020 As for the peeing, I'm lucky to not have been arrested. I pee outside all the time. There is 0 chance I could make a 2 hours trip.
