Popular Post Square Wheels Posted August 2, 2020 Popular Post Share #1 Posted August 2, 2020 I bought a nail gun. With all the work I've done around the house, I should have bought one years ago. It's for finish nails. I already had the compressor. Back in my carpentry days we had a few nail guns, just for framing though, never a finish nailer. I tested it out today, put a small piece of trim back on the stairs. I held the trim, the wife nailed it in place. Way cool. She had fun. I'll have a bunch of trim to install once the floor is done, this will help make it fun. I have a 100' hose, so the noisy compressor stays in the basement. 5
maddmaxx ★ Posted August 2, 2020 Share #2 Posted August 2, 2020 I have a small electric finish nail/stable gun. It's useful. Last used for replacing the insulation strips in one of the outside doors.
Longjohn ★ Posted August 2, 2020 Share #3 Posted August 2, 2020 The butane ones are really cool. No need for a hose. My granddaughter put the trim on their house after the remodel we did. Her other papa is very brave.

This was less than 100 and I have had the compressor for years.

donkpow Posted August 2, 2020 Share #10 Posted August 2, 2020 It is good to place a regulator close to the nail gun. That gives you the best control over the pressure entering the driver. A regulator on the compressor is 100 feet away. What's your line pressure at the gun? My rig also includes a filter drier near the regulator. The filter/drier cleans and dries your air so that the exhaust from your gun doesn't spit all over your work.

I would have had to told you that at least 5 years ago (last one I bought). I've had one since I was 16 or 17.
