We're testing safety valves at -40°F. So I need to know when the valves reach that temperature, because we test them while cold. We're keeping them in a cooler w/ dry ice, which is -109°F. We need to test them before they get that cold. We also test them at +320°F.

Johnny Come Lately Name Posted August 7, 2020 Share #23 Posted August 7, 2020 I have a crappy version of one of those that someone gave me because they thought I could use it for brewing. It's not very useful for that, so it's just been sitting in my brewing stuff for forever. The other day I got the brain fart to try and use it for something, so I dragged it out. To my surprise, I had actually remembered to unplug the battery (9volt) last time I was playing with it. To my even bigger surprise, it still worked.
