Breast implants- frightening & sad

https://thewalrus.ca/are-breast-implants-making-women-sick/  It's actually abit sickening to read the long term problems when a foreign object (breast implant) is put inside a body for years.  It's a good article if you know someone who is seriously considering breast implants.

The same list of ailments associated with breast implants surfaces again and again, noted by physicians and in “breast implant illness” support groups online: rashes, chronic fatigue, joint pain, irritable bowels, tremors, muscle spasms, numbness and tingling in the extremities, and brain fog. Ohio-based plastic and reconstructive surgeon Lu-Jean Feng has removed thousands of implants since 1992; she and many other doctors believe these symptoms could indicate an immune response. This is one of the most divisive theories; even among experts who generally agree that breast implants can lead to serious problems, there is little consensus about the cause of the symptoms. A significant body of international evidence suggests that “silicone disease” encompasses a number of symptoms, including those of an autoimmune type, John Patrick Stewart, director-general at Health Canada, said in a 2014 interview for this article. But “there is no clear causal relationship between gel-filled implants and autoimmune disease.”

I appreciate the desire by some women who want /have breast implants. And especially for those who have had a masetecomy. I wished that society didn't glorify breasts. After all, I'm small and know what that means not to be blessed in that way.   However, it's very liberating not to be noticed by guys for that organ as the lst thing they see/focus on. And as I get older, it's something I don't need to worry in terms of gravity problems.

Going for a jog or bike ride...deflate.

Going on a date...inflate.

Got pulled over by a cop? ...Inflate.

Bikini season ... inflate.

HAHA

you / we just need push up bra part....but who in the hell, wants padding in a outdoor bikini bra. I can barely muster cleavage.  That's ok.  I don't even have any clothing to show that piece off....

I didn’t read the link and am not a breast implant expert but isn’t this more attributed to the silicone implants which aren’t widely used anymore?  I think Dr’s use saline implants now.

I had a standing rule in that if I pulled a car over and it was a pretty woman she was getting a ticket regardless.  Tried to flirt or show cleavage, nope.  I figured they got over enough in life due to their looks and weren’t gonna get over this time.

So your inflatable boobies wouldn’t have worked on me! 😁

Dearie told me he interviewed a woman who made him feel uncomfortable.  Not only did she wear alot of perfume (which he immediately got an headache because of his allergies), but her body movement and light flirty behaviour suggested to him, that she was accustomed to getting things her way, by slightly sexual behaviour and dress.

Now this was in the early 1980's.  He was concerned if hired she would cause problems for herself and potentially some men in the office..meaning #MeToo sexual harrassment charges.

He didn't hire her.   Dearie as a guy, is a naturally soft-spoken guy and has a naturally gracious behaviour that's respectful to everyone. Many  women seem drawn to him because he also is a good listener.

Saline implants were terrible. They determined the silicone implants were given a bad rap and approved them to be used again. That is the material of choice again.

Another merry go around.

Makes push-up, lightly padded bras attractive to women. Yes, of course, that's an illusion. Like all fashion is.

Do you guys read so much about breast implants?  I barely read about this stuff. I just found the above 2020 article link. Kudos for the physicians who have worked hard to determine the dangers..

No I really don’t read up on implants other than I remember a expose about long term affects of them due to leaking silicone.

I live in an area where physical enhancements are common.  What I find horrendous is the funky lip jobs many women get. It looks like they got stung by a bee.

Yea, I can imagine those lip jobs.  And maybe warmer climate areas year-round encouragesbody exposure /awareness?? B) Combined with some people with money to have such body enhancements.

I just found out locally, a hair salon is charging $600.00CAN for "Japanese straightening" for hair. Wow.  But human nature/envy may often be for things we don't have ourselves naturally. (well, get a wig, girl...)

My wife has had a fake breast for twenty some years. She got the first one while the silicon was banned. Her plastic surgeon told he she didn’t want a saline implant. He gave her a silicone one under a clinical trial. After 14 years she had surgery behind the implant and they removed it and replaced it with a new one. In hindsight she probably would not go through all that again but they never gave her any problems.

I had a woman try this on me. We were interviewing 3 people for 2 positions. One gal was flirting with my boss and me. I said not to hire her but he did. He was that kind of guy. AFAIK there was no sexual conduct; however, she was a horrible worker and had to be fired after a couple of months.

This.  I used to hang with a girl in hogh school who drove like a maniac and always got off.  It was sick to see.  I made a point to not let them flirt thier way out of a ticket

My ex got them.  I think they should come with some sort of mandatory counseling because they can screw with your head.  About a year or so after she got them she told me I hadn't been listening our entire marriage and she had a boyfriend.  They took the kids and left, then a few months later I started getting late notices in the mail for a loan I didn't know about.  She had used a line of credit that we had gotten years before to pay for them... then quit paying on it.  So, to try and salvage my credit, I had to start paying.  Hope he enjoyed them.

I did eventually get my money back...

Breast reconstruction after a mastectomy is a lengthy process with many trips to the plastic surgeon. Breast enhancement is much quicker with fewer trips to the doctor. I always enjoyed watching the girls come in and get called back for their treatment and a few minutes later come back out all perky. My wife’s plastic surgeon must have been a breast specialist because my plastic surgeon never seemed to have a waiting room full of women getting boob jobs.

A very Similar thing happened to my brother & Ex wife #2.  Being the good brother that I am I ribbed him for years on paying for his ex’s boob job that some other dude got the benefit of!
