Popular Post Dottleshead ★ Posted August 12, 2020 Popular Post Share #1 Posted August 12, 2020 As mentioned, my wife put in her notice on Monday and her last day is in early September. We can't really start tackling the 'get-this-place-ready-to-sell' endeavor until then. But we can begin to haul a few things up there now as we just rented storage. With the market so hot, it's generally a good idea to move your stuff out so that the home is basically move in ready. This ball is rolling! It's exciting but also a bit nerve wracking. Change can be fun and thrilling or change can be stressful and hard. Sometimes it can be a little of both. Sometimes it oscillates daily. In the meantime, I'm supposed to be working remotely and to say the least this has been a bit unsettling and distracting. Essentially we need to empty out the house and put our belongings in storage up in another county and get this house ready to sell. Then we go live with her mother for a month or two or three. I love her but God have mercy on my soul. 4
jsharr ★ Posted August 12, 2020 Share #2 Posted August 12, 2020 I cannot wait to hear the saga of the storage shed and the pellets. I am sure the new buyer will demand that shed and platform be removed and the site restored to it's former pristine glory. The cost of moving the pellets will be more than they are worth. 1

I'm selling my pellets to my friend for dirt cheap. I'm giving him over 2 1/2 tons of pellets for $200. Highway robbery. But he is helping me get rid of them so there's that. 1

And then, in the new place, a fiasco building a new platform, shed, and installing a pellet stove. What a year we have ahead of us! 1

What a year we have ahead of us! I'm afraid my pellet days may be over. No more firewood either. The place we're moving into (most likely) is new construction and a green home. Heat pump, solar and electric. Bellingham I believe is mandating all new homes to be green. And even if they're not, all the new homes that I'm seeing are. Dottleshead ★ Posted August 12, 2020 Author Share #6 Posted August 12, 2020 But for the record, that shed kicks ass and will still be standing when I am dead. 1

We'll pack and box it and pay for some brutes to load it up in a truck, drive it up, and then unload. The more stuff we can get up there on our own the cheaper we need to pay the brutes.
