I wonder if it was a lithium effect that soothed crying babies. 7-Up was originally called Bib-Label Lithiated Lemon-Lime Soda and contained lithium citrate right up until 1950. Did they even have filtered Camels when this add was out? I don't remember having a choice when I was smoking. After smoking Camels, 3-Nuns was about the only pipe tobacco that had a similar 'kick'.
