Can you discern the year of This 7-up ad? I wonder if it was a lithium effect that soothed crying babies.

7-Up was originally called Bib-Label Lithiated Lemon-Lime Soda and contained lithium citrate right up until 1950. In fact, it's been suggested that the 7 in 7-Up refers to the atomic mass of the lithium. ... The government banned the use of Lithium citrate in soft drinks in 1948 and it was removed from 7-Up.

Did they even have filtered Camels when this add was out? I don't remember having a choice when I was smoking. After smoking Camels, 3-Nuns was about the only pipe tobacco that had a similar 'kick'. Yes, I'm old and started smoking in the late 50s.
