He doesn’t ride by himself. Balance isn’t the issue. The amount of time it takes to think through and respond to input makes it unsafe for him to ride alone. His walking/hiking speed is a reflection of this delayed processing. Depending on the terrain, he hikes at an average of 1 mile per hour.
