I had, pre-Covid, hopes to go for the AC in New Zealand.

I have a friend who was in NZ and got me a Team NZ shirt and hat before all the covid fears.

One of our founders lives there.  I may have to twist his arm to go get me some American swag.

You would not like this.  All computer controlled now, but incredibly fast for a sailboat.

I have not liked anything since the 12s left Newport.  This has been coming ever since things went unlimited.  I would have liked to seen the national origin rules evened out and the race been left in the hands of the sailors.

I'm not a big fan of computer controlled racing.

As Nicky Hayden said in a interview....

What would you like to see in Moto gp racing?

Let's turn off the traction control and go racing.

Motorcycles don't have this sort of thing:

Me too.  I would love to see it run like IROC was.  Boats prepared by an international team, and then the crews show up to race.

Back in the day, Buddy Melges would show up to regattas and ask what was the sloweest boat in the fleet and then exchange boats with that boat owner.  He would sail the dog and the dog owner would sail Buddy Melges boat.  Buddy would still win quite often.
