team scooter Posted August 22, 2020 Share #1 Posted August 22, 2020 I've been so busy disappearing all the nests from behind the window shutters, that I never noticed they've been watching from above. Now I need to decide if I want to risk setting up the extension ladder to nuke them too. How fast can I shimmy down a ladder? Maybe I'll wait until early tomorrow morning and hit them while they're sleeping. Or, just wait a few months and let Mother Nature take care of them. The wasp/hornet spray killer bottle says it sprays "up to 25 feet." But apparently with the whole gravity thing, not straight up.

groupw Posted August 22, 2020 Share #3 Posted August 22, 2020 If they aren't threatening you, leave it until the cold sets in. Then you only have to deal with a ladder on ice!

Even though State Farm is paying to build me an even better house, a house fire is no fun!
MickinMD ★ Posted August 22, 2020 Share #8 Posted August 22, 2020 That's a tough spot to get to. An alternative might to spray water from a hose to get them away from the nest for a while and then use the ladder to spray the insecticide before they return.
