Oh for goodness sake!

Just think about this for a moment.

Alligators are found in swamps.

Swamps are found where the ground is flat, or at least certainly not with ground pitched like that otherwise the water would flow downhill and you wouldn't have a swamp in the first place.  Or an alligator either.

So the sign is bogus.

There - yet another solution for a problem that didn't exist.

You're welcome.

True enough. However, it could be possible there is a cloverleaf highway intersection nearby. They have such things in Florida. That way, a wheelchair could careen down the slope and into a swamp. This would result in a very bad day.

You guys are over thinking an incongruous sign. Swamps don't have hills...we know that...A guy in a wheel chair flying down a Fl cloverleaf would probably welcome the odds of avoiding the gator vs avoiding a retired NYC dentist in a Buick.

Just enjoy the absurdity of gators/wheelchairs/hills and stuff.

I'll tell you what IS funny....

all you city boys talking about swamps

any body of water can have gators in it, if there are gators around

a sign like that on a boat ramp is necessary because I wouldn't trust none of you idiots to look out for wheelchairs rolling ot the water's edge. You'd think the only danger was getting wet!

no, there's the danger of getting eaten by a gator

I tell ya, you buy 'em some books and send 'em to school and just look what they do
