The dead rabbit in my garbage can is starting to stink and it is 3 days until pickup

A month ago it smelled like something had died in the garage. It took me days to find it. I rolled everything out of the garage. The cars, tool box, recycling bin, cabinets, etc, etc.  Checked and swept every square inch. Washed both cars figuring I rolled over something stinky. Even took the wooden stairs into the house apart in case something crawled into them and died. When the smell came back with vengeance, I sent Maggie to sniff it out. She found a dead bird stuck in the grill of the new car. When I removed it, there were maggots and worms crawling in and out and I almost lost my lunch.... :frantics:

Little bird, big stink.

Maggie earned her keep for a few years at least!  Yay!

A couple months ago, Lucy killed a rabbit the day after trash day.  I knew it wouldn't make it a week without stinking up the neighborhood so I put it in a plastic shopping bag and took it to a near by park and dropped it on a trash can there.

The neighborhood I took it to is a tad ritzier than mine.  I thought they needed to be taken down a notch.

That was good thinking!  Probably too late for me now. :(
