Further Posted September 10, 2020 Share #1 Posted September 10, 2020 .Chubbs passed today. My wife is devastated. He sleeps near the sunflowers. I fed him when I left for work, he was fine, had breakfast and climbed up on sofa to take a nap. My wife was in the kitchen a few hours later, actually talking to Chubbs cause he was always there, hoping for the food dish to get filled, she assumed he was there. When she walked around the island she saw him dead in the dining room. He passed peacefully We had a love triangle going on, the three of us Mrs Further loved Chubbs, Chubbs loved Further, Further loves Mrs Further Gonna be a hole in the routine for a while 20

MickinMD ★ Posted September 11, 2020 Share #15 Posted September 11, 2020 Sorry for the loss, but glad he went peacefully. My sister had a King Charles Spaniel that went more and more paralyzed over a couple weeks until he was alive but not moving. She sat him on her lap and pet him until he passed away - no pain.

I will miss Chubbs What a fun "little" guy! It is great he was part of your life and that the three of you had each other to share your love. Sorry for your and WoF's loss, but pets are only with us for a brief amount of time, yet fill our lives with a special kind of joy we can't find anywhere else.
Kirby Posted September 11, 2020 Share #18 Posted September 11, 2020 I am so sorry to hear this. It's never easy to lose a member of the family and loved companion. However, I'm glad his passing was so peaceful. He was lucky to have a life so filled with love.
Longjohn ★ Posted September 12, 2020 Share #19 Posted September 12, 2020 On the bright side he passed in good digging weather. We had a 15 year old cat pass when it was below zero. No way to dig a grave in that frozen soil. We cremated him.
