Randomguy Posted September 20, 2020 Share #2 Posted September 20, 2020 Wow! I have found bear prints near my tent a few times in the morning while camping, I figure everything just travels through and sniffs around to see if there is any food around any campsite. If they can’t find the pic-a-nic basket they look for another food source.
Square Wheels Posted September 20, 2020 Share #4 Posted September 20, 2020 One more reason not to camp. I did as a kid, but at 56, no need to start now.
Guest Posted September 20, 2020 Share #5 Posted September 20, 2020 Never hD an issue with bears. Bump inyo them once in a while at work and have had them in camp. They either ho away on there own or with a little coaxing.
Dirtyhip Posted September 21, 2020 Share #6 Posted September 21, 2020 This is very very rare. Also, it stinks that they killed the bear. The bear was being a bear. We are in their home.

Banana peels, orange peels and stuff like that is a non issue. I just wouldn't leave it directly on the trail bed. Under a tree or bush is fine for peels, cores, and fruit waste.
