Longjohn ★ Posted September 23, 2020 Share #2 Posted September 23, 2020 I have two of them. When one is about empty I get out the other one so it can begin to soften. One dish is glass, the other is Tupperware.
Ralphie ★ Posted September 23, 2020 Share #3 Posted September 23, 2020 No dish. We keep a tub and sticks in the fridge in their store wrappers. We are heathens.

Kirby Posted September 23, 2020 Share #5 Posted September 23, 2020 I typically get it in a tub, but when I was a kid we had a plain white one, except for fancy events when my Mom used a cut glass one.
BuffJim Posted September 23, 2020 Share #6 Posted September 23, 2020 Plain clear thick glass. Virtually indestructible, so any hope of getting a new one is gone. 1

I have a similar one and it’s fallen out of the fridge numerous times and is still going strong. I have had it for ages & am not sure where it came from.
Mr. Silly Posted September 23, 2020 Share #8 Posted September 23, 2020 We use a tea saucer for the butter. Growing up we used a Correlle Livewear butter dish with the green flower pattern that matched the rest of our dishes. 2

MoseySusan Posted September 23, 2020 Share #14 Posted September 23, 2020 I have a festive Spode butter dish I use at the holiday table. Other than that, a clear plastic covered butter dish we leave on the countertop near the stove. Except during the summer when the butter melts because it’s always at least 80 degrees in the kitchen. In summertime, the butter stays in its wrapper in the fridge.

Further Posted September 24, 2020 Share #17 Posted September 24, 2020 Plastic thing that is supposed to look like cut crystal, but it works well, keeps the fly's off the butter and is easy to cut a pat of butter off of.
