Remember the boat and trailer story

We have now lost all of our front parking, except for the two spots in front of our garage that is on our property.  His solution lately is to leave his 50+ feet of shit in directly front of our house.  I was gonna take a pic for you guys but was running low on time to get to work.

People are interesting.

If an emergency vehicle wanted to get down our street, they would be unable to.  He has to use a sign that reads "wide load" just to get it around.  Our street is very narrow.  Two cars can't pass each other on a good day.

Can't wait to get the fuck out of this neighborhood.  To have space and a big gate. It's going to give us a whole bunch of elbow room.

I thought about calling the city, because of the lack of access for emergency vehicles.  I am just out of energy.

City would ticket him.  It's worth the extra energy.

I just called.  This is fucking ridiculous.

What I do not need is this pile of shit in front of our house, when we are trying to sell.

Fuck.

He bought the wrong lot for his shit.  3 cars, one truck a giant RV and now this enormous like sea type boat.

I would send a quick email to code enforcement.

I was afraid you were going to tell us, he had moved to your new neighborhood.

It would not matter so much.  My lot is huge.  You would have to enter our fence to fuck with us now.  Don't care who parks on the street.   We plan to install this electronic gate.

Our lot is on a dead end street with only two neighbors about 1-2 acres away from our lot.  The traffic at my new place will be nada.

We want people to just leave us alone.  @Philander Seabury  Maybe I am old and grouchy now.  Stupid people did this to me.

:(

Just got off the phone with the officer that responded.  He told the neighbor to get it moved and that it was not allowed to stay there, because it blocks the street.

The neighbor told him that he just got in too late to move it.  I said 'Yeah, he does that often.  He comes home late and dumps it in front of our house."

Then we get to talking and this officer lived on my street, like two houses down for a while.  He also moved to the county and we chatted about that.  I told him where we are moving and he said "That area?!"  He says that area is pretty high crime.  Then I clarified where our lot is and he said "Oh, up there.  That's a pretty good area with the exception of the armed standoff that happened on the side street a few weeks back."

The officer told me that he has been surprised with the amount of crime in our town.  I told him to stay safe and thanked him for his rapid response.

The trick is going to be removing the eyesore while you are selling & closing on the house. :dontknow:      :foryou:

AHHHHH!

Officer gave me his cell.  Told me to call him if the boat comes back and he will make him move.

He says he has seen me on my bike quite often.

These officers do watch and know people and their habits.  That is interesting.  Maybe this town is just small and you tend to get to know peope.

I was an MP on a small base and you do recognize patterns & habits.  I’d see someone at the PX off duty and think, blue Ford Escort, works in HQ but wouldn’t know his name...

I'd go stealthier, like say clipping of one off the trailer tire's valve stem.

I suggest a poison blowgun dart to the back of the neck the next time he attempts to get in his truck.  With the right chemicals he will never make it to the drivers seat.

They are far more perceptive than you realize.  My dad was a cop for years.  It still amazes me the things that he picks up on.

I would never break the law like this and ruin property, despite the forum gold threads that would make ya eat lots of 🍿.

Hurting someone in an illegal way is just not my way of handling things.

The next time the boat is gone, park something there even if you have to borrow a car or truck.

I might chat with the kids across the street and tell them to please take my parking spaces. The kids there are nice and don’t really park in front of my house.

I won’t park our Chevy in the street. It lives in our garage.

If you're going to go stealth, then do something he won't notice until he has the boat in the water.  Maybe snip one of the wires on the starter or rearrange the wires that go to the spark plugs.

Well, my call may have prompted actual change.

He is out there right now taking out his entire back fence.  Now, he may have enough space to pull out and not use our property to do so.  Also, he can probably fit his crap in there much better.

His entire yard is exposed now.  I hope he doesn't get robbed, cause our area is seeing lots more crime.  We padlock all of our fences and lock down pretty tightly at night.

When I was a kid, one next door neighbor rented out their house and several families were living in it.  They had numerous cars & felt the street in front of their house was their parking so would yell at my oldest brother not to park there.   My brother repeatedly told them to F’ off.

Well one night somebody broke into his car,  put in in neutral, released the brake and pushed it down the street.  My brother was pissed but never said a word about revenge.

However a few nights later someone  punctured all 4 tires on every one of their cars. Someone also shimmied up the power line & cut the power to their house.  It took the power company a couple of days to repair the damage.

Oh and did I mention my brother was a linesman for a power company?   The parking fued ended after that...

We were much nicer than most when I had a house in VA Beach.  (3 E6 sailors).  The street that our house fronted on was angle parking with 2 no parking spaces where our driveway entered.  Usually we were able to park in front of the house but if necessary would park in the driveway, stacking cars in the expected order of next departure.  Did I mention that we were 1 1/2 blocks from the beach in downtown VA Beach.  You know that assholes just had to park in the blank spaces leading to our driveway, especially on weekends.  Enter the shop jack.  After people parked and left for the beach we would jack up the rear end and roll the car out into the street, leaving it there. Usually the police would have it towed pretty soon.  They never gave us any grief over the tactic.
