24 miles & some color

30 miles in the Adirondacks with the club from up north. Color was peak. A bit windy but a great day. The peak in the clouds is Whiteface Mt. there is a road to just below the summit. 8 miles@10%. We’ve ridden it twice in the past.

Gym. Once a week whether I need it or not. Mile on the dread mill, tech problem: dead ear buds. Went to the truck, got the plug-ins. Once around the machines, ochos on the rows, agilities, PTs, stretches.

Beautiful weather (but humid!) and as I rolled past one of my local climbs I noticed they had paved the road finally (it was brutalized from two winters not receiving attention).  I got crazy and attacked it with too much vigor   Regardless, pooped out a bit of the way up, but I still liked the new pavement - until it ran out and was the raw milled pre-paving surface for the next mile or so.  Anyway, as I turned around and came at it from the other direction, it was nice going from milled to fresh pavement for the quick descent.  Anyway, I'll let them finish the paving and maybe attack it properly next week or so.
