Sadly, not like that. I celebrated last Sunday. I grilled bratwurst with onions, beer, sauerkraut, German potato salad and Paulaner beers. It was festive.

I have been to fake Oktoberfest in Dallas.  It was hot but there was beer and boobs, so it was alright.

I went to Zinzinnati one year. Never again. Too many people and not enough fun. The annual beer festivals there were better than the Oktoberfest.

Hmm, could it be that Cincinnati doesn't offer an authentic Oktoberfest experience?  I would trust Wisconsin more to have an Oktoberfest, I think.

Cincinnati is billed as the world’s largest after Munich Germany. The pictures from Munich looks like it’s more fun than the Ohio event.

We went to the Stuttgart version years ago, and it was fun for sure but not really the insanity it seems the Munich one has become.  Beer, food, rides.  Generally a good time, but I also didn't get hammered (although eine Maß Bier is quite massive).  We also have been to Munich several times when it is NOT Oktoberfest, and the beer halls are fun to visit and the local beer is good (but not great) - good to drink with a nice German meal.

...buncha drunk Germans singing "Du, du liebst mir in herzen..." over and over and over and over and over again. They alternate that with "Die Lorelei".

The Polish, German, etc. festivals have been cancelled in Baltimore for 2020.

I'd go to Bavaria, the land of about 1/8 of my German ancestors who are 1/4 of my ancestry.com DNA, but it bans people from the Land that Surrendered to COVID from visiting them with a long quarantine after arriving.
