ChrisL Posted October 26, 2020 Share #1 Posted October 26, 2020 Santa Ana winds came in last night with sustained winds in the 30 MPH, gusts pushing 100 mph. Silverado fire erupted and went from 10 acres to 2,000 in the blink of an eye. Our corporate office is about 1 block outside the evacuation zone. HR gave me the OK to come in and keep tabs & facilitate communications. This is what I was mentioning in the CO fire thread, several foothill communities are right in the fires path... If they don’t contain it a huge community in North Irvine is going to burn... Heading in: In the smoke plume: Loking towards the North from my building. 1 3

maddmaxx ★ Posted October 26, 2020 Share #4 Posted October 26, 2020 Nice pics. I see in the last one that one of the space invaders ships has been contracted to go in and snuff the fire out,

groupw Posted October 26, 2020 Share #7 Posted October 26, 2020 I have a friend in the Bay Area with fires encroaching from 2 sides. She has essentially evacuated but her hubby won’t go until they tell him to. She’s very strong and independent. If she’s worried for him, it’s for good reason. Really hope she doesn’t become a widow. ChrisL Posted October 26, 2020 Author Share #8 Posted October 26, 2020 Here is a map shot of the fire & how close it is to developments. The Santa Ana winds are blowing from the N/E to the S/W so basically right towards all those homes.
ChrisL Posted October 26, 2020 Author Share #9 Posted October 26, 2020 Getting closer. We’re on evac earning, the trees are blocking the view but there is about 10 fire engines staged in the parking lot. The wind is blowing so hard the building is creaking...

ChrisL Posted October 27, 2020 Author Share #12 Posted October 27, 2020 So the evac order came and I had to sweep both campus’ in the evac area. One building that should have been clear was not... Uh I need to finish this. The company AND the Sheriff have sent an evac order, you need to leave now. Who the hell are you to tell me to leave?!?! I pulled the number for the CEO/owner and said look at who I’m about to call. You got 10 seconds to get out or I’m calling him directly to tell him I can’t leave because you won’t leave. I suspect you won’t ever be coming back once I make this call... Dumbass begrudgingly packed his shit & left. I then snatched his badge so he couldn’t go back in. Stupid fucker..: I wanted to knock his ass out & drag him to his car. This is what an evac looks like
