Square Wheels Posted August 8, 2014 Share #1 Posted August 8, 2014 How would your life be different? Would you ride more? Volunteer?
Dirtyhip Posted August 8, 2014 Share #2 Posted August 8, 2014 I would ride and workout much more, cook gourmet food on most nights of the week, and have a spotless home and garden. Right now I am slacking on the yard and house. Probably would volunteer, in the event that I needed to work again. I think it would be easier to re-enter the workforce if you had been volunteering during your unemployment.

Zealot Posted August 8, 2014 Share #5 Posted August 8, 2014 I've often thought about that. I honestly don't mind working. And I think I might get tired of being retired. But, if I could take a year off, yeah I'd find plenty to do. Would involve my hobbies and some traveling.

The_Karen_Cooper_Incident Posted August 8, 2014 Share #9 Posted August 8, 2014 I would spend more time helping at half way houses and homeless shelters. It's been kinda strange getting into the system here in NY. However last night, I found a place I can donate some time at and will likely start in the fall. Road Runner Posted August 8, 2014 Share #11 Posted August 8, 2014 I would have more time to hurt myself and then allow time for the requisite recuperation. Oh, wait, that's what I do now....
Chopped Liver Posted August 8, 2014 Share #12 Posted August 8, 2014 Hike the AT Ride the Southern Tier Get my golf game back Win a few more Archery tournaments ....yeah, I could stay busy. We have things in common. ok....and I might have to do some volunteer work. Maybe help some disadvantaged youths explore some of those aforementioned hobbies. Hiking, biking, golf, and even archery can be a great way for kids to learn stuff and have fun at the same time.
Dirtyhip Posted August 8, 2014 Share #13 Posted August 8, 2014 This may be my reality in the not too distant future. However, I will still have a job as house wench. This is my dream actually. Probably would volunteer at an animal shelter. Guess, I will have to get along better with cats.
