Popular Post goldendesign Posted November 5, 2020 Popular Post Share #1 Posted November 5, 2020 Hello everyone! I'm back! Sorry for the long hiatus things have, are, a busy time lately. There was some IRL drama with a coworker stalking my wife's and I's socials so the hiatus was partly to let law takes is due recourse. That is now no longer a problem. So now I have more time to be somewhat of a slacker and visit my peeps here! How has everyone been? On my end; had another scare with a potential cancer lump they found last scan. Quick nip found it to be a bundle of scar tissue from the the radiation treatment. I have scleroderma so excessive scarring due to damage was to be expected, although they didn't figure it would have traveled that far from radiation site. Switched jobs, again. Super happy with the company and role. Finally in Data Engineering! Working from home since March, probably won't go back although office is only 5 miles away. Wifey works from home now too so it's kinda fun spending everyday with her as my coworker. Lil one is now 3 and incredible. She's been using the learning materials you guys gifted her and she's so damn smart. Anyway, I'm back! 5

Longjohn ★ Posted November 5, 2020 Share #4 Posted November 5, 2020 It’s good to hear from you again. My caregiver activities stepped up big time in January when my wife spent two weeks in the hospital and they sent her home with hospice care. I get an hour a day Monday thru Friday help with bathing my wife and changing the bedding etc. Everything else I’m on my own. Sometimes she seems to be getting better and sometimes I think I’m going to lose her.

My heart goes out to you. My Sister and her husband are in a similar boat with his mother. I know how difficult and time consuming it can all be. I've been a good sounding board to them both when they need just a mental break, since physical breaks are non-existent in their case as well. If you need something other than inane postings of SW, you can always contact me and we can talk.
