We lose power here and there, and I just give up.

12:00! 12:00!12:00!12:00!12:00!12:00!12:00!12:00!12:00!12:00!12:00!12:00!

Mine says 12:00, 12:01, 12:02, 12:03.................... 12.45.....        And then I can tell when the power went out.

And then I hit 'clock'   n..n..n   'start'  BAM done.

Even Ralph has this figured out by now.

Yep.  I had to reset for DST change, and it was "clock" "clock" "minus" "clock" done.  The microwave was "clock" "9" "5" "0" "am/pm" "clock".  Man, my index finger was worn out!

How did you know to do all that?  Sounds difficult.

My apartment's gas range/oven has a digital clock that didn't Fall Back in October.  I go by it when I'm boiling pasta for 10 min, etc. - the oven has a timer that turns it off.  I want a similar one when my house is rebuilt.

I am going with a ticker. My Grandma used one. It works. Or, my phone if I want to get all fancy. It is rare I use the timer anyway. I just know when it is done.

It will not constantly be blinking 12:00, 12:00 ... 12:00

What time is it?  12:00!

I have a VCR that has been blinking 12:00, 12:00, 12:00 for years.

How do I make it stop?

if I recall.  the stove was "clock" "minus" (then "plus" I went past the time) "clock" done.   My microwave was  "clock" "9" "5" "0" "start", "1" for am "start"
