Mom made me laugh....

Spoke to my parent this weekend, turns out my dad has not been feeling well and very low energy.  Turns out he needed some  meds adjusted, but until that he was napping a fair bit and after walking home from the seniors home visiting friends he was quite winded and needed to sit down.

Mom accused him of being "out of shape" and said, and I quote "He thinks just because he is 85, he needs to act old"  ha,ha

She had to apologize once she found out he was sick

The other day when fixing mom's broken water pipe my stepfather went with me to the hardware store. On the drive to the store we got stuck behind a car driving under the speed limit and my step dad started complaining about about old people driving slow. .....he's 85.

She is.  She used to win dance competitions and can still Jive.  Three weeks ago she curled Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday(she still throws from the hack), played Bridge on Thursday and golfed on the Friday, plus went to two hockey games.   A real firecracker

Great, I just read about Zephyr's Mom's activities, and now I need a nap.

My boss’s aunt lived to be 104. At 96, she was still helping deliver Meals on Wheels. Boss said they would be visiting and she would say it was time to go feed the old people.

My dad had a girlfriend after mom passed away. She was still “feeding the old people” well into her eighties.
