Parr8hed Posted November 18, 2020 Share #3 Posted November 18, 2020 But seriously, that's amazing. I saw it on the facebooks a while back and it might have gotten a little misty in the room.

Longjohn ★ Posted November 18, 2020 Share #5 Posted November 18, 2020 I sent links to a friend of mine that headed up the special needs ministry that I was a part of until my wife got so sick. She has a son with Downs that’s about his age.

az_cyclist Posted November 18, 2020 Share #11 Posted November 18, 2020 a great achievement! In an ultra distance event, you will have times of low energy. He was able, with some encouragement from his family and friends, to work thru that.

MoseySusan Posted November 18, 2020 Author Share #15 Posted November 18, 2020 So, if you open the link to the NYT article, it includes a photo of Nikic and his dad hugging in front of an inspiration board. Check out that whiteboard. It’s...hella inspired!

It could be important to know so the next time us enlightened people are about to make history, you are a part of it. As you know, we are all about inclusion. And fart jokes.

Airehead Posted November 19, 2020 Share #20 Posted November 19, 2020 I watched the last two miles live and cried like a baby. I have a pet peeve about people calling kids with down’s stubborn. If we all used the word determined wouldn’t that work better. Chris and Dan were determined. I posted the video at work and gave staff PD CREDIT for watching. The quiz was, what are you going to do to help, your students meet their goals. I have heard lots of cool answers.
