I clean them after every ride and try to keep the seal area clean. Well, the oily gunk showed up again after the next ride. It appears that I have blown the seal on my front shock. It appears that I have blown the seal on my front shock. good thing you take care of your shop mechanics. Unless you damaged a stanchion, it should be no big deal. I have to replace the rear derailleur, rewrap the bars, recenter the brake levers on the bars and recable the brakes. Luckily a buddy is going to give me a RD out of his parts box.
