Popular Post Longjohn ★ Posted December 24, 2020 Popular Post Share #1 Posted December 24, 2020 Yesterday she was pretty good. This morning she was kind of out of it as we were giving her bath. Just as Jocelyn was starting down the steps to leave my wife started to gag. Jocelyn stopped and came back upstairs and asked her if she was ok. She said go ahead and go, I’ll be ok. She is not ok. She hasn’t wanted a thing to eat since I gave her breakfast at 8am. We have been looking forward To having the grandkids over tomorrow. I haven’t called it off yet. If Esther is as bad tomorrow as she is today it won’t be much fun for anyone. I just watched our Christmas Eve service online. One of my granddaughters read some scriptures and my son lead the music between scriptures. I wish I could have been there. My wife is sleeping now, when she wakes up I’ll see if she wants me to hook her up to oxygen. She hasn’t needed it for a couple months but today her breathing is labored. I better not cancel the visit tomorrow because you never know it might be the last time they see their nana. I try to convince myself that she is getting better but some things are getting worse. I fix small portions for her because she doesn’t eat much. This week I have been throwing away or feeding the feral cat half of her meals. Sorry to be such a downer on Christmas Eve but I had to get this off my chest. 5
Popular Post Airehead Posted December 24, 2020 Popular Post Share #2 Posted December 24, 2020 So much love between the two of you. Don’t call off the visit. Let everyone spend some time telling happy stories of wonderful memories. In time, God will need her home until then keep loving her. Hugs as you continue this journey. 4 6
Popular Post Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted December 24, 2020 Popular Post Share #3 Posted December 24, 2020 This is not a downer but the opposite. You are an inspiration to all of us. You serve as an example as to what we can be. The reason for the season is love and that is you and Esther my friend. No matter what you face, you stand there and face it with your best. Your sons learned from you and carry on your lessons. Inspiration Man is what you are; wear it proudly. 4

Popular Post Longjohn ★ Posted December 25, 2020 Author Popular Post Share #5 Posted December 25, 2020 I talked her into a protein shake for dinner. She probably drank at least half of it. I took my dish out to the kitchen and heard her say something. I came back in and she had fallen asleep with the shake in her hand and it dumped all over her gown. I got her a clean gown and got her changed. She is sleeping again. I sure hope she feels better tomorrow. 3

Ralphie ★ Posted December 25, 2020 Share #20 Posted December 25, 2020 I hope she is feeling better today. Besides Superman, you could be John Wayne since you have True Grit in being relentless in your wife’s care.
