sheep_herder 12,705 Posted January 13 Share #1 Posted January 13 Blowing pretty steady in the mid 40s and gusting between 56 and 66mph, except at 2:45pm it gusted to 76mph and blew our large rain collection tank over the fence and into the irrigation ditch. Hard to walk at times when feeding. Dogs were ready to get back in their crates.
Longjohn 34,370 Posted January 13 Share #2 Posted January 13 You don’t have to be a weatherman to know which way the wind blows. The answer my friend, is blowin in the wind.
shootingstar 3,595 Posted January 14 Share #3 Posted January 14 I decided not go out to get some yogurt...on foot. I know I've been nearly blown over on bike. A transport truck in Alberta got blown over onto its side on highway yesterday.

Digital_photog 6,283 Posted January 14 Share #12 Posted January 14 Our friends traveling to the sled dog race stopped in Billings because of the wind. They said it reached 70 mph and blew some semis over on I90. They said after caring for the dogs the wind went down so they continued on. Were stopped for several hours. shootingstar 3,595 Posted January 14 Share #16 Posted January 14 Apparently we had 145 km/hr. winds yesterday afternoon in city. I was at home working all day and didn't go food shopping afterwards.
