donkpow Posted January 14, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 14, 2021 Is badmitton the new Thailand experience or merely a supplement? I wonder if the Duke of Beaufort considered the ramification of his actions when he held a poona tournament at his house.

We thoroughly enjoy playing it and it brings out quite a bit of competitive spirit.
Kirby Posted January 14, 2021 Share #3 Posted January 14, 2021 We used to play it as kids up in the Catskills, only it wasn't particularly competitive. The walkway was the fence and it was just silly fun that wasn't likely to get anyone injured. We also had the original metal lawn darts. And croquet that was played with an equal disregard for the rules.
ChrisL Posted January 14, 2021 Share #4 Posted January 14, 2021 Badminton was a thing at my HS. Nets would be set up in the gym during lunch and there would be a bunch of people playing. Most were really good too.
bikeman564™ Posted January 14, 2021 Share #5 Posted January 14, 2021 I played it a few times as a kid, just for fun.

MickinMD ★ Posted January 14, 2021 Share #7 Posted January 14, 2021 It was a typical thing in the backyards of the 100' x 60' properties in my community growing up. Not enough room for private tennis courts!
Razors Edge ★ Posted January 14, 2021 Share #8 Posted January 14, 2021 BTW, I've considered just getting something like this for quick driveway, beach, random parties:
