Mr. Silly Posted January 19, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 19, 2021 I can only think of two. Whitehorse and Of Monsters and Men

Prophet Zacharia Posted January 19, 2021 Share #3 Posted January 19, 2021 I don’t know when anyone’s initial release was. And I don’t buy albums anymore. So while I like a bunch of music released in the late decade, I haven’t bought any and don’t follow anyone, other than the Stones.
ChrisL Posted January 19, 2021 Share #4 Posted January 19, 2021 When my kids were teens I kept up on newer music because of them but now that they are older I really have lost track. Sometimes my YouTube will put newer music up and I like some of it. The music I choose to listen to is from the 1960’s - 90’s.
JerrySTL ★ Posted January 19, 2021 Share #5 Posted January 19, 2021 The closest I can get is Cage The Elephant in 2008 and Ha Ha Tonka in 2007.

Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted January 19, 2021 Share #8 Posted January 19, 2021 Close but no cigar. Samantha Fish released her first album in 2009. 1
TrentonMakes Posted January 19, 2021 Share #9 Posted January 19, 2021 after a little thought (and some Wiki-ing to confirm dates) I came up with: Alice Merton Michael Kiwanuka Low Cut Connie Pickwick Quilt Lula Wiles and Car Seat Headrest if I can include 2010. I still love discovering new music but it's usually not the pop stuff they play on Hot 99 or whatever. I made a top ten list of songs released in 2020, and recently I updated my Top 50 songs released 2000-2020. Just for fun! I know most people have given up on new music - I honestly believe it's their loss, but of course it's also their right.
Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted January 19, 2021 Share #10 Posted January 19, 2021 New vinyl arrived today; but it does not meet the criteria as it was issued back in 1975.
BuffJim Posted January 19, 2021 Share #11 Posted January 19, 2021 Kacey Musgraves. She had some teenage albums in the early 2000s, but really hit the scene around 2012. I downloaded Same Trailer, Different Park a few years ago.
BuffJim Posted January 19, 2021 Share #12 Posted January 19, 2021 Of course I can’t forget Edith Piaf, who became famous for her 2020 performance on an Allstate Commercial. It’s in French, but I assume it translates into ‘Your in Good Hands with Allstate’.

I'm old enough that I can say I probably purchased my last album decades ago. (Maybe in the 80s.) The CDs I have are just newer copies of my old vinyl albums, which I still have and they are all in great shape. My antique direct drive turntable still works just fine too. My new receiver for the living room streams music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
Forum Administrator Posted January 20, 2021 Share #16 Posted January 20, 2021 Lots... And some really good music has come out in the past month or two. Original stuff, remixes of older songs, and some amazing collaborations. Dodie just came out with "Hate Myself." Death Cab for Cutie just come out with a cover of TLC's "Waterfalls." Lovelytheband and Misterwives just released a version of "Buzzcut Season."
