Mr. Silly Posted January 19, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 19, 2021 Why aren't you selecting the numbers, 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6? It is just as likely a combination as any other combination. 1 1
Airehead Posted January 19, 2021 Share #2 Posted January 19, 2021 because if you let them randomly generate your numbers it isn't necessary to fill out that paper form.
Kzoo Posted January 19, 2021 Share #3 Posted January 19, 2021 And another thing those people should know - DON"T stand in line in front of me taking 5 minutes at the cash register fiddling with your tickets and counting your change and trying to do small talk with the cashier. Math challenged people buying lottery tickets wasting my time in a checkout line ANNOY THE CRAP OUT OF ME. OK it's just me and I'll get over it. 3

Then again this could happen; South Africa's lottery probed as 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 drawn and 20 win I'm guessing it like using 123456 as password. Many may do that....
2Far ★ Posted January 19, 2021 Share #6 Posted January 19, 2021 Quick pick is the way to go. My only thought is that it would be better different if the pick-6 gave you an unused set of numbers (don't even know if that is currently possible).

For example some people play birth dates or birth months. That's why when I pick numbers, I make sure that at least one is > 31. I'm a greedy bastard and want all $800 million for myself.
maddmaxx ★ Posted January 19, 2021 Share #9 Posted January 19, 2021 Strange. I always use 314159 for my combinations and picks and passwords. That's 3, 1, 4, 15, 9 for those of you about to complain.

Tough to type in though.

12string Posted January 19, 2021 Share #13 Posted January 19, 2021 There's probably some psychological way to determine people's least likely to pick sequence, or at least rank the more common choices. Like the way scientists can plot the path of meteors.

There are some lottery games where order matters put these are smaller games like Pick 4.
