Popular Post Razors Edge ★ Posted January 19, 2021 Popular Post Share #5 Posted January 19, 2021 Sorry for your loss. It is tough to lose a parent - at any age - but 85 is a nice run at life, and you hopefully got to say your goodbyes. Grieving is a surprisingly up-and-down process. Good days, bad days, lightning bolts of memories out of the blue, forgetting the loss, missing chance to just "call and check in", etc.. I'm still sometimes thinking of things I should mention/discuss/ask to my dad and he died over a year ago Give yourself time.

BuffJim Posted January 20, 2021 Author Share #31 Posted January 20, 2021 There will be many great memories, and laughs as we remember. He had a twinkle in eye his eye. Blarney. But when I called my mother today she said it was the saddest day of her life, and watching them wheel out my dad was surreal. They had been married 63 years. 7

Her brain will be scrambled for a good long time. Sometimes all she needs is for someone to just "be" with her.
