COVID Vaccine: I'm officially Pre-Registered to get a phone call/email so I can Register

I'm now registered on two sites in Maryland so I can get a phone call or email inviting me to register for a COVID vaccination: my county health dept. and the U. of MD Medical System (hospitals).

I'm "eligible" Jan. 25th, but the message you get after completing the county form says my group, ages 65-74 should get vaccinated "February to April" - and that's the "start date" for the first shot.

My doctor's office says it's supposed to get the vaccines, but right now only Maryland hospitals and health departments are getting them.

The office provided, by email a list of some of the different counties' health departments (email message at bottom for those in MD interested) where you can pre-register for the vaccine.

BUT.....

I'm also on the Patient Portal for the U. of Maryland Medical System hospitals - the local one is the only vaccination site listed close to me on the State site - and they have their own preregistration.

I filled out both pre-registrations since the questions are different so they won't get compiled into the same database and confuse things.

Here's the County's message after I submitted. I'm "eligible" beginning Monday, Jan 25th, but it looks like February-April is when I get the first dose.

The UMMS hospitals sent me a confirmation - I picked the hospital closest to me - so I'll just wait.

The UMMS portal home page (https://www.umms.org/coronavirus/covid-vaccine/get-vaccine), below, says "People within Phase 1b [ages 75+] are now eligible to complete a vaccination request.  But the form has statements (":...when it is your turn" - my turn is the next one, beginning Monday) and questions (asks if I am 65-74) that show 65-74's can pre-register so I did.

My doctor's office's email 1/18/21:

There is a 3-phase vaccination plan in our state: https://covidlink.maryland.gov/content/vaccine/#keep-reading. Phase 1A continues with vaccination of health care workers, first responders, and nursing home residents and staff. Governor Hogan announced effective January 18th moving to Phase 1B, which includes educators, childcare providers, and residents 75 and older. While MPCP has registered to administer the vaccine, at this stage, vaccine has been allocated only to hospitals and health departments. When vaccine is allocated to providers, MPCP will be scheduling vaccine administration at all of our sites. We will follow the tier recommendations of the Governor and Maryland Department of Health. We anticipate that at that time vaccine will also be available at local pharmacies. We will continue to communicate to you via email as this process moves forward. If you have not yet joined our patient portal, you are encouraged to enroll, which will facilitate your vaccine scheduling. Contact your primary care office for a portal invitation.

At this time, our State of Maryland and your county vaccine information websites are the best resources for updates regarding vaccine roll-out. This includes opportunity to register for Vaccine Clinics when available:

I'm on a list to be notified when I can call and request a slot in the registration line where I can sign up for the vaccine when it's available.  Once registered I will get a call telling me who to contact to obtain an appointment to speak to someone about when and where both I and the vaccine might be available.  If those two things merge properly I will be allowed to take my place at the back of the line.
