dinneR ★ Posted January 22, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 22, 2021 Our county uses a color coded covid risk level system. Green, yellow, orange, and red. We've been in red for a while now. Things got worse so they created a new level, purple. It's like going to 11. Purple is one louder.

MoseySusan Posted January 22, 2021 Share #3 Posted January 22, 2021 Ouch. Purple is the color of some digit or appendage that’s been wrapped too tightly. Not a good look.

Are you in Teton County? 163 cases/100,000 people is bad, but there are lots of places that are A LOT worse (number in light grey is case rate)! jdc2000 Posted January 23, 2021 Share #6 Posted January 23, 2021 I just hope the level doesn't go to ultraviolet.
MickinMD ★ Posted January 23, 2021 Share #7 Posted January 23, 2021 Maryland is making some progress. Our 7-day avg. rate rose to 53 new cases/day per 100,000 population in the two weeks after the Holidays. It's 38 now. Masks, Social distancing, not loading your groceries on counters until the person's stuff in front of you has been cleared off, etc. is being taken seriously by everyone I encounter in my area, from south of Baltimore to Annapolis. Our State COVID hospitalizations dropped 90 in the past 2 days to 1768 and ICU beds have never come close this Fall and Winter to what they were last Spring, maxing out at 611 then and are 424 now. Airehead Posted January 26, 2021 Share #10 Posted January 26, 2021 Our numbers are coming down-- my fear is as soon as they do people will stop taking it seriously and they will go back up
